The Baha'i Justice Society is a professional organization dedicated to promoting justice in a manner consistent with the principles of the Baha'i Faith.

Formed in 1986, the Society has members throughout the United States and affiliate members in Albania, Australia, Canada, El Salvador, England, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Germany, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Panama, Ukraine, the Virgin Islands and Zambia.

Members represent many diverse occupations including judges, lawyers, teachers, musicians, administrators and students.  They hold in common a desire to promote justice and appreciation of the teachings of the Baha'i Faith.

The society operates according to the principles of Baha'i administrative procedure and under the guidance of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States.  The Society welcomes members who are not Baha'is.

 


Goals of the Society

  • To promote Baha'i principles related to justice and conflict resolution
  • To encourage the establishment of Baha'i Centers for conflict resolution
  • To develop a mechanism whereby Baha'i attorneys can use their professional expertise to serve the needs of the Baha'i institutions and community
  • To provide a resource for networking among Justice Society members
  • To encourage and support the development of youth interested in law, justice, dispute resolution and related careers
  • To develop and grow as a not for profit service and educational organization
